
Workplace consultation services are provided by staff in the Business Services Units of the local Connecticut Works Centers to assist businesses to move toward becoming high-performance work organizations. Employment and Training consultation services include:

Wage subsidies up to 50% for on the job training. |

Industry-specific training projects featuring strong employer involvement in the design and the content of the curriculum. |

Employee assessment assistance includes recruitment of potential candidates, office space and personnel support for interviewing candidates, job fairs - on site or in the community and computerized job banks to promote job openings. |

The CTWorks Career Coach, a high-tech mobile classroom which can deliver services anywhere, anytime. The Career Coach is available to employers on a rental basis to provide training to their employees and for special events. |

Supporting future workforce pipeline development. |

Involvement with youth programs including internships, mentoring and work shadowing. |

Follow-up/case management services. |

The WorkPlace, Inc. provides workforce services for Southwest Connecticut and through a WIRED grant is developing a workforce partnership with Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. The WorkPlace serves Ansonia, Bridgeport, Derby, Easton, Fairfield, Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull in Connecticut’s Central Coast.

The Workforce Alliance provides workforce services for Central Connecticut including East Haven, Hamden, Milford, Orange, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, West Haven and Woodbridge in Connecticut’s Central Coast.
